I tend to battle with tracing tight curves with simple cube polygons, so to practise, I used a logo I see pretty often to try and get it right.
I used PostNet’s logo (http://www.postnet.co.za – http://www.postnet.com)
The final product:
This render took 00:02:31 of render time using Blender v2.79 (744 verts | 728 faces | 1456 tris) with Denoiser set to a radius of 10 along with default strength and feature strength. [Using a NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT (1GB) with 4GB]
The most strenuous part was trying to get through the curves of the “O” and the “S” as those were the shapes I was practising. The other letters were pretty straightforward and only took about 10 mins of the 1 and a half hour practise, I know, that’s really slow, but was worth getting as close as I could.
The scene itself is pretty empty, but the future scenes will start to become a bit more full.
